Team Chili and Edgar Foden will seperate shortly and sensing the occasion he brought home his first podium for the team.
Edgar's role has not always been that of captain and thus his results have suffered. Edgar lead out the Chili hall of famer Byron Coad during late last season but the pair could not seem to do much damage. Once Byron was unceremoniously dumbed from the side to allow the training of a new sprint captain Edgar took over the sprint teams reigns. His efforts have not brought alot of results primarily due to the lack of support offered to the captain until the recent appearance of Trimble's talents. Alas a decision was made for Team Chili to focus on the mountains and Edgar has been shopped around since.
Edgars last weeks with the team have been the highlights of his career. He was named for the first time ever to the English national team. Edgar raced his first race in the Washington city TT and finished a very respectable 23rd given his lack of skill for that race. All of this to go with his 3rd ever career podium.
Alexander wished Edgar success in the future hoping for the English hard man would bring more podiums to his cv.
Team Chili is dangling tantalizingly close to div 2 but wonders if shifting the team from two captains to one will allow them to continue to climb. To the mountains!
